Thin integral fins for high area density

Skiving cuts fins directly from the base material, avoiding a fin-to-base joint while allowing thinner fins and tighter spacing than many conventional extrusion profiles.

  • What customers usually want to know: Can a dense skived fin field fit the space and dissipate the load without excessive airflow resistance?
  • Best suited to: High-power air cooling, compact envelopes and prototypes requiring dense integral fins.
  • Important limitation: More geometric area does not guarantee more cooling when narrow gaps restrict airflow.
